The German-African Business Association (Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft) is honoured to cordially invite you in cooperation with the German-Healthcare Partnership to the 4th German-African Healthcare Symposium. Our conference will take place on October 18th, 2017 directly after and in close cooperation with the World Health Summit in Berlin.

This year’s German-African Healthcare Symposium will discuss the G20 healthcare topics and focus on health security. Together with high-level experts from Africa, Germany and Europe we want to discuss the results of the G20 Healthcare Conference, which took place in May 2017 and shed light on the discussion with an economic perspective.

The following African ministers and international institutions have confirmed their participation:

- Dr. Gerd Müller, MdB, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Germany
- Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, Minister of Health, Ghana
- Hon. Dr Bernard Haufiku
, Minister of Health and Social Services, Namibia
- Hon. Dr Pagwesese David Parirenyatwa,
Minister of Health & Child Care, Zimbabwe
- Hon. Salif Samake, Deputy Minister of Health and Public Hygiene, Mali
- Hon. Sarah Achieng Opendi,
Minister of State for Health, Uganda

- Dr Matshidiso Moeti,
Regional Director for Africa, World Health Organization (WHO)

The first meeting of the healthcare ministers of the G20 country shows that governments have recognized that a healthy population is the basis for economic and political stability. Increasingly, urgently needed health system investments are shifted into focus. Many countries in Africa are home to booming health markets, but they all share a need for investment and all show an enormous potential to bring innovation to the global market.

Key topics of this year's German-African Health Symposium are:

-    Health Crises - Health Security
-    Financing & Procurement
-    Communicable & Non-Communicable Disease

This event is in particular directed to medium sized enterprises.

Please note that the German-African Healthcare Symposium participants may attend the World Health Summit for the special price of only 220,-€ (regular 920,-€). If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time in order to receive a special registration code.
